 Traveling in third world countries such as Romania, Uganda and Sierra Leone has opened our eyes to great need. Our hearts have been moved with compassion. Heaven's Garden, Inc. was founded to enable us to support established organizations currently helping the poor and orphans, such as Show Mercy International and Fresh Hope Ministries International. These organizations build orphanages as well as help victims of war torn areas. Below are examples of the projects we have helped to complete.
Sierra Leone
 Orphaned babies in Africa face a big risk. In Sierra Leone one in four women die in childbirth. State homes care for many of the orphans in deploring conditions. Sick children are looked at as an unwanted burden and are left to die.
On our recent trip to Sierra Leone, in October, we were able to rent a house, provide finance for food, take many suitcases of baby clothes, and hire "aunties" to care for these babies.

A mother died and left four orphans. Our gift of $1,300 paid the rent for a house, purchased bunk-beds, and supplied an "auntie" to care for the children for one year.
 Uganda
In Uganda, at Hope Children's Home, we found that children sat on the dirt to eat meals. Laundry was done in buckets on the ground. The building needed repairs and sponsors were needed for the orphans.
Heaven's Garden gave tables and benches for 100 children, a concrete area for bathing the children and washing clothes. We also gave funds for repairs for the home and food, clothing, and education for one child.
